| Info: Miniature Schnauzers are very smart, alert, devoted, good with children, and they do not shed! They are very eager to please which makes them so easy to train. Size: See the chart below for more information on size. All sizes- teacup, toy & miniature are registered as miniature schnauzers by the AKC. Color: They come in a variety of colors. Most common are the black, black & silver, and salt & pepper but they also come in a variety of parti & liver colors, as well as white. All of these colors can be registered with the AKC. If you are registering a parti, liver, or white colored schnauzer you will need to send in two color photos of him or her with their AKC puppy application. You will need one full front view and one full body side view. The color codes are: Liver- 123 Parti- 023 Liver/Tan- 124 Liver Pepper- 498 Wheaton- 224 White- 199 MISC: * All schnauzers live in our home and puppies are whelped in our house. * At 3-5 days old puppies are taken to the vet for first check & to have their tails docked and dewclaws removed. * At 8 weeks of age puppies receive another check by our veterinarian to ensure they are happy, healthy, and ready for their new homes. * We de-worm our puppies every two weeks from birth- e.g. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, & 12 weeks of age or until they leave for their new home. At 12 weeks old they are placed on monthly heartworm preventative and general de-worming is done once monthly until 6 months of age. After that it is every 3 mos. * We vaccinate our puppies at 8, 12, & 16 weeks against Distemper, Canine Adenovirus Type 2, Canine Parovirus, and Canine Parainfluenza. In addition to those vaccinations we also vaccinate them against rabies at 12 weeks of age. * We feed our adults & puppies Loyall food by Nutrena. There is a link to their site on my links page. When you buy a puppy they will come with a Loyall pet pack that has a sample of the food they are eating and information about the food. You can also register your new puppy for the Loyall rewards program by clicking here. |

| Size Chart Large Miniature size-- (14-20 lbs. and stands about 15-16 inches tall) Small Miniature size-- (11-13 lbs. and stands about 12-14 inches tall) Toy Schnauzer size-- (7-10 lbs. and stands about 8-11 inches tall) Teacup Schnauzer size-- (3-6 lbs. and stands about 6 to 9 inches tall) Tiny Teacups are under 3 lbs. **We do not have teacup or tiny teacup size here. I believe they are just too small to be around small children and I have three young daughters so I will not intentionally breed for them. ** THE ABOVE WEIGHTS ARE BASED ON SCHNAUZERS THAT ARE NOT OVER WEIGHT. WE TRY OUR BEST TO KEEP OUR ADULTS FROM BEING OVERWEIGHT BECAUSE IT CAN CAUSE NUMEROUS HEALTH PROBLEMS. *** WE ALSO DO NOT PRICE OUR DOGS ACCORDING TO SIZE. WE PRICE THEM WHEN THEY ARE BORN AND DO NOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT SIZE THEY ARE GOING TO TURN OUT TO BE. I DO NOT CHARGE MORE FOR A SMALLER SCHNAUZER LIKE SOME BREEDERS. WITH THAT BEING SAID WE ALSO DO NOT GUARANTEE SIZE. I WILL TELL YOU THE SIZE OF THE PARENTS AND AN ESTIMATE OF THE SAID PUPPY'S ADULT WEIGHT BUT I CAN NOT GUARANTEE IT. THAT IS ANOTHER REASON WE DO NOT PRICE ACCORDING TO SIZE. *** |
